Preventing Computer Virus Attacks

Of course, as computer users said the virus would have been familiar to us, in article I will discuss about the way that the virus is difficult to attack our computer or laptop.

Actually, from some sources that I have read, most computers or laptops infected with a virus the cause is external data storage media (flash, external hard drive, etc.) that we use to exchange data has been exposed to the virus, so that when we open the external storage media virus will spread to our computer with ease.

Of course, the virus also has a way of spreading process, this is the key to tackle spread of viral infection. Viruses typically spread when autorun is active in our external storage media (flash, external hard drive, etc.), but every time we open the data in external storage media autorun computer automatically becomes active.

The conclusion so that the virus is difficult to attack our computers, it is better to turn off autorun computer, how:

1. Click Start, select Run, then type gpedit.msc
2. Click OK
3. Later in the Computer Configuration, click Administrative Templates choose System
4. Double-click Turn off Autoplay
5. In settings select Enable and Turn off Autoplay option on select All drives, then OK
6. After that in the User Configuration Do the same thing in the Computer Configuration
7. If so, then click OK to disabled autorun

Note: Even if autorun has been disabled, but when you double-click to open files on external storage media, autorun will start automatically. So do not do double-click when using external storage media, just use Windows Explorer so that only through the side without the use of double click directly ...
